Well, we've finally come to the end of the year and a good time to reflect on the past 12 months and what has been happening.
Been busy developing Drekkly and spreading the word about the vision of the site and why I built Drekkly.
There have been times when I have felt perhaps I tried to scratch where no one was itching....by that I mean: "why another online platform when Facebook, Instagram and Twitter dominate the social media scene and people are reluctant to move away?"
Trying to persuade people to adopt another platform like Drekkly in addition to these has been a challenge. Big Challenge.
But why I did create Drekkly and believe in the space it can inhabit, I explain here. I still feel there is some mileage in developing the platform, despite discouragement I have felt with slow takeup, unanswered emails, low user postage rate, etc.
Therefore, I invite you as a user to send me feedback about how I can improve Drekkly, what features you would like to see in 2020?
A lot more can be done as I find time and budget. Drekkly is a site I finance privately in its entirety and I cannot do this indefinitely.
I want to believe it has a future and is something Cornwall can be proud of and adopt long-term - BUT I can only do that if I have support and user interaction.
So, drop me a line and tell me how I can add things that will help you help us make Drekkly to share everything we love about Cornwall!
I hope you have a peaceful Christmas and incredible 2020!
